- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120 – $2,180
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (06:45 – 17:15), with on-call rotation (1 shift/week and 2 weekend 12-hour shifts/month)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Unit: Operating Room – Transplant (Liver, Heart, Lung, Kidney)
- Charting System: EPIC EMR
- Scrub Color: Ceil Blue
- Parking: Free, unrestricted spaces
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience with direct involvement in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant surgeries (must be reflected on skills checklist)
- Transplant Experience: Required experience with organ implantation (not just procurement/harvesting)
- Equipment: Proficiency with MISONIX/CUSA surgical equipment
- Certifications: Active RN license (compact nursing licenses accepted), AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS (required at submission), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
- References: Two recent professional references from OR leadership (within past 12 months)
- Other Requirements: Willingness to float to other operating room cases as needed; timely completion of onboarding modules
- Vaccines: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Smoke-Free Facility: All travelers must be nicotine free (negative 10-panel + nicotine drug screen required)
- First-Time Travel Nurses: Accepted
- Pending RN License: Accepted
- Time Off: All requested time off must be disclosed at submission
- Scrub and circulate for complex transplant surgeries (liver, heart, lung, kidney)
- Participate in organ implantation procedures and support the full transplant process
- Operate specialized surgical equipment (MISONIX/CUSA)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a teaching hospital environment
- Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
- Maintain strict infection control, safety, and universal protocol standards
- Float to other operating room cases as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide scheduled weekend coverage
- Support training and education of students and new staff in a teaching facility
