Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – School SettingLocation: Santa Barbara, CA
Start Date: January 7, 2026
Contract Length: 20 weeks (through end of school year)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (AM shift)
Setting: In-person only
Position OverviewThe Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care. Responsibilities include treatment implementation, documentation, and supporting therapy goals for students across the district.
Minimum Requirements- Current PTA license in the state of practice
- At least 1 year of professional PTA experience (school experience strongly preferred)
- Compliance with all professional standards of practice
- Current CPR (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Compensation- Local Pay: $50–$55/hour
- Travel Package: $2,600/week gross
Additional Details- Grade Levels: District-wide (all ages)
- Caseload: Small; assisting district PT
- Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
