Position Details:
Start Date: January July
Coverage Needed: Locum Physician to provide Inpatient consultative services across 2 hospitals 10 miles apart.
Schedule Details: Dates of coverage: 1 week (7 days Mon-Sun) per month, 8a-5p.
Submission Requirements: Must meet ALL submission requirements in order to submit!
- Board certified in both Hematology and Oncology - REQUIRED
- Active NJ license - REQUIRED
- ACLS - Required - REQUIRED
- Must be able to work for both Atlantic City and Galloway locations - REQUIRED
Work Details:
- Practice Setting: Hospital
- Inpatient consultative services across 2 hospitals 10 miles apart
- Coverage needed due to growth in outpatient volume and part-time inpatient providers being sick.
- Patient population: Adult and Geriatric
- Practice distribution: 49% hematology, 51% oncology
- 5.6 physicians in the practice
- Radiation Oncologist available at EHT Cancer Center for case discussions
- 8 APPs providing coverage - Monday to Friday, an inpatient NP will assist the MD with notes, orders, and staff communication
- Average hospital patient load: 8 per day (5 consults, 3 follow-ups)
- Clinical areas: Oncology and Hematology in an inpatient setting
- Hospital trauma level: Atlantic City - Level 1
- EMR system: Cerner
- Required procedures: Inpatient consultative services
