Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine - Houston, MO
Join a dedicated team at a facility focused on serving our nation's Veterans! This role allows you to perform Compensation & Pension exams as well as Separation Health Assessments. We offer flexible work opportunities in your own office or at a VES facility located within a 50-mile radius of Houston, Missouri.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation and Pension exams plus separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Provide services on a PRN basis with the option to work half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours).
- Manage all required administrative follow-up work, including addendums and report submissions.
- Must maintain a current home address and documentation for presentations.
Qualifications
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Current AANP certification.
- Active and unrestricted full nursing license in Missouri.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to attain DMA certification.
License and Certification Requirements
- Missouri nursing license (active and unrestricted).
- AANP certification is mandatory.
