American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric Float Pool RN with level one experience, an active OK or compact RN license, and current AHA BLS and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities- Work as a Pediatric RN in the hospital float pool covering a variety of units
- Care for pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- Level one trauma experience required
- Night shift position with required holiday and weekend coverage
- Float pool assignment requiring flexibility to work in multiple pediatric areas
- Deliver nursing care to a diverse pediatric caseload in a high-acuity environment
- Administer medications, initiate and monitor IV infusions, and assist with diagnostic procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Interact with patients' families regarding care plans and hospital procedures
- Document patient responses and promptly communicate any changes in status
- 50 mile radius rule applies for all candidates; local candidates within this radius are not eligible
- Dress code and scrub requirements will be provided upon assignment
- Active Oklahoma or compact state RN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of one year of recent pediatric RN experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
- Good verbal and written communication skills with sensitivity to cultural and language needs
