We are seeking an experienced Manager of Surgical Services to oversee and coordinate all aspects of surgical care in a dynamic hospital setting. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical operations.
QualificationsEducation:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing – Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent – Required
- CNOR Certification – Preferred
Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience, including 2 years as a circulating RN in surgery – Required
- 1 year Post-Anesthesia Care experience – Preferred
- Prior leadership, supervisory, or management experience – Preferred
Licensing & Certifications:
- Active California RN License – Required
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications – Required
- Demonstrates composure and sound judgment during surgical emergencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address issues within surgical operations.
- Effective leadership and delegation abilities to maintain departmental efficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 4 hours or more per day.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs several hours per day.
- Moderate exposure to hazardous waste and chemicals.
- Works collaboratively with patients, peers, physicians, and ancillary departments.
