Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Dallas, TX 75230 (North Dallas – premier healthcare and lifestyle destination)
• Unit: 610 Diabetic Endocrine 6 South (23-bed medical surgical unit)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/9/2025 – End: 3/10/2026)
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1260 - $1350
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs
• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state (required for Texas nursing jobs)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical surgical nursing experience
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to float to other acute care areas (medical surgical, general surgery, renal transplant, telemetry, neuro, ortho) as needed

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to medical surgical patients on a busy 23-bed unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe patient ratio of 1:5 for effective nursing care
• Perform general med/surg nursing practices and clinical procedures
• Float to other acute care units as needed to support hospital operations and clinical staffing
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code requirements
