An Internal Medicine Physician providing outpatient care to patients aged 16 and older, focusing on highly complex cases including comorbidities, addiction, and behavioral health. The role involves managing 8-10 patients daily in a Monday to Friday schedule with limited on-call phone duties, supported by trained clinical staff. Candidates must be board certified, licensed in Ohio, and experienced in prescribing opioids, with a preference for addiction medicine and community health center experience.
Patient Age Range: 16 and older only (No pediatrics)
Patient Volume: 8 10 patients/day
Case Mix: Highly complex patients with comorbidities, addiction, behavioral health
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Call: 1 week/month (phone only, low volume: 6 8 calls/week)
No inpatient or SNF rounding
Same-day clinic rotation included
Team Support: Trained support staff focused on outcomes
Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Ohio license
DEA license required
Minimum 2 years of full-time experience post-residency (no residency or telehealth counted)
Must be comfortable prescribing opioids
Experience preferred:
Addiction medicine & behavioral health
FQHC/Community Health Center
Underserved Medicaid populations
