Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with proficiency in Epic and at least two years of recent OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center
• Operating Room unit with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Day shifts are 4x10 hours with start times at 7:00 am or 11:00 am, based on department needs
• On-call required: one weeknight per week and one weekend every six weeks
• Patient population and procedures include ortho (total joints/trauma), general, neuro, vascular, ENT, OB/GYN (including C-section), plastics, and robotics (DaVinci preferred)
• EMR is Epic and prior Epic experience is required
• No floating between units within this role
• Primary responsibilities include circulating a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties
• May be required to float between all facilities within the state as needed
• Scrub color of choice is permitted on this unit
• Free parking is available onsite
• Time off requests must be submitted at application; approval is not guaranteed post submittal
• Holiday call coverage may be required according to departmental needs

Requirements

• Active WA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum two years recent Operating Room RN experience
• Proficiency in circulating ortho, general, neuro, vascular, ENT, OB/GYN, and plastics cases
• Travel nurse experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Hard-stop requirement for previous Epic charting experience
• Current certifications as required for OR specialty
• Minimum of two supervisory references covering one year of employment in a comparable setting
• Cannot have been a permanent employee at this facility in the last three months
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility for travel nurse eligibility
