Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of recent OR experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
- Day shifts with variable start times (07:00, 09:00, 11:00) working 4x10 hour shifts per week
- Night call shifts during weekdays (8 hours, 23:00-07:00) and scheduled/call weekend shifts (10-12 hours)
- 5-6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6 week schedule
- Epic EMR usage is required
- Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital
- No mile radius restrictions; local candidates are accepted at the same rates
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Strict RTO policy; all time off requests must be submitted up front and cannot be changed after submission
- Must be off staff for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- Weekend and on-call shift coverage required as part of the rotating schedule
Requirements
- Active OR RN license must be in hand at time of application
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred
- A minimum of two years of recent Operating Room RN experience is required
- Epic EMR charting experience is mandatory
- COVID vaccination required with no exemptions allowed
