Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse for a night shift position. The successful candidate must have a strong background in medical-surgical telemetry nursing and be committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality and compassionate patient care to medical-surgical telemetry patients.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and ECG rhythms, operate telemetry equipment, and respond to alarms accordingly.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as per physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, medications, and post-discharge plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in charting systems.
- Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
- Must have 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry prior to travel.
- Must possess a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
- Current American Red Cross BLS & ACLS certifications required.
- Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start.
- Two recent references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required.
