• Schedule: Three 12-hr day shifts 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. to include Saturday & Sunday plus 1 day during the week. No on-call requirements.

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital is a Quaternary Care, Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma facility.  We offer 24/7 emergent treatment for Myocardial Infarction (STEMIs), STROKEs, and Trauma’s. At the Indianapolis campus there are 14 procedural labs. Currently there are 3 cardiac catheterization labs, 4 electrophysiology labs, 2 neuro suites, and 4 vascular/body labs.  We recently expanded to our new Brain and Spine Hospital which includes the 2 brand new state of the art neuro IR suites. We are accepting Radiologic Technologists applicants with experience and new graduates.  We will provide you  with an orientation that is tailored to ensure a successful future within multiple procedural specialties.

Responsibilities

Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.  American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

Education:  Degree in Radiology or Completion of certification program in Radiography. 

Two years of IR Vascular/Neuro Rad Tech experience preferred.
