What You'll Do:
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using sound judgment to resolve issues as they arise.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to help to maintain controlled access.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related threats, or hazards to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel or site management.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by site protocols.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter security-related risks and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
- Respond promptly to alarms and/or requests for assistance, taking appropriate action in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.
- Assist with emergency response procedures, including evacuations or lockdowns, as directed by site management or Allied Universal supervisors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
