OR RN Job Details – Ithaca, NY

• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Surgical Stay Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: June 2, 2025
• End Date: September 1, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts/week)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880–$2020

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an Operating Room, Surgical Stay Unit, or similar clinical setting
• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in the Surgical Stay Unit
• Monitor patient status, assess vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care using the EPIC EMR system
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, recovery, and post-operative care
