Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Birmingham, Alabama 35243
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown Unit (1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio)
• Duration: 13-week travel contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:30pm – 7:00am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1400-$1500

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Alabama or compact state)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in cardiac stepdown or stepdown nursing jobs
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the Birmingham healthcare facility

Cardiac Stepdown Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to cardiac stepdown patients, including monitoring and assessment
• Administer prescribed medications and cardiac treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow hospital policies and procedures
• Float to other nursing units as needed
