Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is hiring a Nurse Practitioner, Gastroenterology. The highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner will join the Gastroenterology team. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. Your expertise in gastroenterology will enable you to diagnose and treat a range of gastrointestinal conditions, from acute illnesses to chronic diseases. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing individualized care plans, conducting patient consultations, and maintaining accurate medical documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Consult patients with GI physicians to understand health concerns and perform specialized tests to diagnose and treat patients for both inpatient and outpatient services.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation.
- Provide patient education on various gastrointestinal conditions and promote preventive measures.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years inpatient experience
- NY Nurse Practitioner License
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, master level
- DEA License
- 3 years of experience in gastroenterology (preferred) or at least 3 years as an Adult/ Family Nurse Practitioner
- Current BLS & ACLS certification
- Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
