Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule12-hour evening shifts, rotating between 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next. A minimum of every other weekend and holiday is required.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in emergency medicine and be adept at treating a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
Responsibilities- Provide initial assessment and triage for patients presenting to the emergency department.
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
- Perform emergency procedures including IV therapy, EKGs, and lab draws.
- Monitor and document patient progress, changes, and interventions in the electronic medical record (EPIC-ASAP).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an RN in emergency medicine.
- Current valid NY RN license or proof of application.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
- NIHSS certification required prior to start.
- Experience with EPIC documentation within the past 2 years is mandatory.
