We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Neurology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our esteemed neurology team in Sacramento, CA. In this vital role, you will provide specialized care to patients with neurological disorders, helping to diagnose, treat, and manage various conditions while supporting patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments, including patient histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage a range of neurological disorders, such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and migraines.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with neurologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including EEGs, MRIs, and other imaging studies.
- Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, ensuring optimal care and outcomes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and enhance clinical practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
Qualifications:
- Active NP license in the state of California
- 1 to 2 years of neurology experience (preferred)
- Active DEA
