American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level IV Neonatal ICU position requiring recent Epic and basic arrhythmia experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a 26-bed Level IV Neonatal ICU within a specialized pediatric hospital setting
- Patients include critically ill newborns and infants with complex medical and surgical needs
- Care involves post-op infants, g-tube, trach/vent management, and advanced invasive/noninvasive ventilation
- Shift options include 12-hour day or night shifts, with schedules covering Monday through Friday and 2-3 weekends per 6-week period
- 4x12 hour and 26-week contracts are available
- Float assignments may include shifts in multiple units or locations based on staffing needs
- Documentation performed using Epic EMR, with recent Epic experience required
- Basic telemetry monitoring is part of the role
- Provide comprehensive care for critically ill neonates and their families from admission through discharge
- NICU is recognized for patient- and family-centered care and advanced pediatric services
- First to float to other units or locations if required by hospital staffing needs
- Travelers must secure appropriate parking credentials if parking on-site; alternative transportation options are available
- Assignments may be reallocated within the organization if the primary department’s needs change
- Facility is Magnet®-designated and Level One Pediatric Trauma Center
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- American Heart Association BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- At least 2 years total NICU III/IV experience with a minimum of 1 year in a Level IV NICU
- Recent experience with Epic EMR within the last 12 months required
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation skills required and must pass a telemetry test before starting
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the primary work site location
