Our job summary

The Production Associate works a 2nd shift at a Wisconsin cheese factory, operating and monitoring production machinery while maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include handling cheese curds, running bagging machines, following HACCP guidelines, and maintaining clean work areas. The role requires standing for long shifts, lifting moderate weights, and attention to safety and quality compliance in a manufacturing environment.

Position Title: Production Associate - 2nd Shift

Wage: $20.50/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 4:00pm - 12:00am

Production Associate Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control production machinery
- Monitor and use "Clean in Place" procedures on product machinery and tools
- Scoop and shovel cheese curds in large bins
- Take samples of product for lab testing
- Maintain appropriate production records
- Fill out proper documentation in accordance to customer specification and government agencies
- Aid other employees to maintain a safe process and quality product
- Follow safety procedures
- Maintain clean work environment
- Operate within HACCP guidelines to ensure safe, quality product
- Operate and set up bagging machine to bag and seal blocks of cheese

Requirements for Production Associate:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience of 1-2 years in a manufacturing position
- Ability to stand the entire shift 8-10 hours a day
- Exposure to toxic, caustic chemicals (anhydrous ammonia), acid wash
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs rarely from the ground and 20lbs occasionally
- Ability to work in warm/hot environment
- Excellent attendance record and team focus
- Quality focused
- Ability to work overtime as needed on Saturdays
