American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist I with an active MA Radiologic Technologist license and 1-2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital radiology X-ray unit serving diverse patient populations
- Responsibilities include performing X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and other diagnostic imaging procedures as ordered
- Shifts are Mondays and Wednesdays, 7:30am to 8:00pm, totaling 24 hours per week
- Use of equipment includes X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI scanners, and associated accessories
- Patient care required throughout preparation, positioning, and post-procedure activities
- Epic EMR charting system is used; experience preferred
- Responsible for patient preparation, explanation of procedures, and technical troubleshooting to ensure diagnostic image quality
- Adheres to strict radiation safety protocols and uses lead aprons and shields as appropriate
- Maintains thorough and accurate patient records in the EMR system
- Flu vaccine is required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Scrubs must align with hospital guidelines
- No pending or conditional MA licenses accepted
- Local candidates must have permanent residence at least 60 miles from the facility; local rate applied if within 60 miles
- Public transportation or daily paid parking may be necessary due to lack of validated parking
- Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license required; license required if applicable
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology required
- 1-2 years of experience in radiology technology required
- ARRT registration preferred
- BLS certification (AHA preferred) is recommended
- Knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment operation, and patient positioning necessary
- Familiarity with X-ray, CT, and MRI procedures and protocols expected
- Ability to lift 35 lbs or more and meet the physical demands of frequent standing and walking
