The Wound, Burn and Ostomy Nurse Practitioner provides specialized outpatient care managing wounds, burns, and ostomies for patients of all ages in a wound care clinic. Responsibilities include performing sharp debridement, biopsies, biologic skin graft applications, and applying total contact casts, working alongside a multidisciplinary wound-care team. This role requires efficient patient throughput with up to 20 patients per day, utilizing EMR systems like EPIC and ensuring high-quality care under supervised orientation and malpractice coverage.
Coverage Dates: 12/08 07/2026 (13 weeks)
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
Daily Hours: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
Orientation: 4 hours (non-billable)
Setting: Outpatient Wound Care Clinic
Daily Census: Up to 20 patients/day (20-minute appointment slots)
Patient Population: All ages, neonates to geriatrics
Procedures Required:
Sharp debridement
Biopsies
Biologic skin graft applications
Total contact casts
Support Staff: MD + wound-care specialty team
EMR: EPIC
Travel: Prepaid
Malpractice: Provided
