Advanced Practice Provider Cardiac Surgery Full-time
Piedmont Heart Institute is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the cardiac team providing excellent patient care to our surgical patients. You will be joining a team of advanced practice providers and solely focus on cardiac surgery. This is a full time opportunity.
In this role you will:
- Round on postop patients
- Provide office consults one day per week with a designated surgeon
- EVH and chest closure in the OR
- Thoracentesis and chest tube insertion and care
- Provide care to LVAD patients

The first integrated cardiovascular healthcare delivery program affiliated with a community health system in greater Atlanta, and is headquartered on the campus of Piedmont Hospital, a 481-bed quaternary care facility offering all major medical, surgical and diagnostic services. Offering a continuum of patient care, including: primary and secondary prevention, outpatient and inpatient cardiovascular care, and appropriate quality measures and metrics to demonstrate enhanced outcomes.
Qualified candidates will have 1-2 years of cardiac surgery/EVH experience
Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification
or
Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
