Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts in 26-bed PICU unit
• May occasionally float to NICU, CVICU, IMU, or Burn ICU as needed
• Floating required within ICU cluster (NICE, PICU, Burn PICU, IMCU) with travelers first to float
• Every other weekend required with manager/scheduler driven schedule
• No on-call responsibilities but holidays required as needed
• Nurse/patient ratios: PICU 1:1-2, IMCU 1:3-4
• 1-2 CNAs/PCTs per shift for ancillary assistance
• 2-3 days of orientation and specialty testing required
• Must follow facility dress code requirements
• Must pass fit test with no facial hair unless for religious beliefs
• MUST TEST NEGATIVE FOR NICOTINE
• 3 years of recent PICU experience required
• Prior travel experience of 1-2 assignments required
• Recent EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Active AR or Compact License required
• EMR system: EPIC with Pyxis medication system
• Equipment includes Pyxis with bar code scanning, GE Dash monitors, Servi ventilators
• Care for patients with respiratory distress, CRRT, ECMO, post arrest, trauma, neuro cases, surgical post-ops

The facility features comprehensive critical care services including PICU, CVICU, NICU, and specialized units for burn care and intermediate medical care. The hospital maintains advanced medical technology and equipment, with specialized teams including residents, fellows, attending physicians, and hospitalists providing 24/7 coverage.
