The Internal Medicine Physician will conduct non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans, performing primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments. The role offers flexible, PRN work schedules and involves completing detailed medical documentation and coordinating with Veterans Evaluation Services. Candidates must hold an active Michigan medical license, be board certified or eligible, and have experience in internal or general medicine-related fields.
Join a dedicated team serving our nation's Veterans! We are currently seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. The position offers flexibility with opportunities to work in your own office or at a nearby facility, all while making a difference in the lives of Veterans.
Job Responsibilities:- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments, such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete administrative work, including addendums and medical opinions.
- Work on a PRN basis, with options for half-days (4 hours) and full-days (8 hours).
- Ensure timely submission of reports, including any required follow-up documentation.
- Coordinate with Veterans Evaluation Services for credentialing and onboarding.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine-related fields.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage patient interactions effectively.
- Active and unrestricted full medical license in the state of Michigan.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in applicable specialties.
- DMA certified or willing to complete DMA training.
- Own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
