What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
- Monitor access points and control entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with established procedures for logistics and distribution locations.
- Maintain detailed records and prepare reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
- Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as necessary to address security-related concerns and/or incidents.
- Remain alert and attentive while on duty, including during patrols and stationary assignments, to help to deter potential threats and/or suspicious activity.
- Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms and/or other security-related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
