The Security Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, and troubleshooting electronic security systems such as intrusion alarms, fire alarms, access controls, and CCTV at customer sites. The role requires experience with low voltage electronics, knowledge of local and national codes, and valid licenses including a state driver's license and an active Law Enforcement Alarm (LEA) license. STC is seeking technically minded individuals possessing experience with low voltage electronics specializing in electronic security solutions. Our teams are responsible for providing service on STC products at customer sites. The position provides customer contact for all post-installation problems on security systems and equipment, as well as, special project work, when needed.
Here are the minimum qualifications you will need
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years’ experience installing and/or servicing intrusion, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV security systems with a basic understanding of electronics, wiring, local and national codes
- Valid state driver’s license without restrictions
- State of OR Active LEA License
It would be awesome if you had these qualifications, but they aren’t required:
- Vocational/technical degree in electrical, security, or computer systems
- Bosch, DMP, Edwards/EST, Honeywell, Radionics, Simplex and/or GE/Mirtone system, Genetec and Software House (C-Cure) knowledge
- IT/Networking Certification or ESA Certified Alarm Technician
