A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia care for patients undergoing elective surgical procedures in a network of specialized surgical centers and medical clinics. They evaluate patients preoperatively, administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia, and monitor patient responses throughout surgery to ensure safety and comfort. Working under the supervision of the operating surgeon, the CRNA is an essential member of the Anesthesiology Care Team in a state-of-the-art outpatient and inpatient surgical environment.
