Travel RN – Neuro ICU AUTO OFFER | NIGHT SHIFT Location Chesapeake, Virginia – Coastal Virginia Located minutes from Virginia Beach and Norfolk, Chesapeake offers outdoor recreation, scenic waterways, and trails—ideal for travelers who enjoy an active lifestyle. Shift Information Shift: Night Schedule: 4x12 Hours Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Contract: 48 hours guaranteed OT: OT billed after 48 hours on 4x12 contracts 3x12 or 4x12 available (OT applies after 48 on 4x12 nights) Weekends: Every other weekend (EOW) Holidays: As required within contract Unit & Floating Requirements Must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit May also float to ED or Med/Surg to care for ICU-level patients being held Patient Ratios 1:2–3 Patient Population Neurosurgical and post-stroke patients Respiratory failure Renal failure Post-surgical patients Trauma Sepsis and MODS Heart failure and post-cardiac cath patients Required Experience & Skills MUST HAVE STRONG NEURO EXPERIENCE – NO EXCEPTIONS Required clinical skills include: Post-neurosurgical care EVD management Stroke care Ventilator management IV drip titration Telemetry monitoring Conscious sedation Dysrhythmia and emergency management ICU Experience: 3 years CC/ICU experience preferred Strong candidates without 3 years may be considered Travel Experience: Preferred EMR: EPIC proficiency required – no exceptions Licensure & Certifications VA or Compact RN License: Must be in hand at time of submission (no exceptions) BLS & ACLS: American Heart Association only NIHSS: Required Compliance Requirements (STRICT) NO license or background hits – Chesapeake will not consider candidates with any prior hits Local Rule: RN candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility Driver’s License: Required for address verification prior to offer acceptance Required Documents: Qualivis Submission Form Current NURSYS report Additional Notes 48-hour contracts with OT after 48 available PLEASE INDICATE candidate preference (3x12 or 4x12) upon submission
