Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for an ICU position requiring at least one year of ICU experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital ICU unit
- Day shifts are 12 hours, three days per week
- Care provided to critically ill adult patients
- Use of Epic EMR is required
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency
- Potential on-call requirements during scheduled shifts
- Responsible for performing independent nursing and delegated medical functions in line with state Board of Nursing standards
- Duties include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the ICU
- May be expected to provide patient education, counseling, and coordination of care
- Candidates must be able to document care according to hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Background check and drug screen must be completed at least two weeks before start
- Scrub color or dress code requirements not specified
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
Requirements
- Active MT or compact RN license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing school required
- Minimum of 1 year recent ICU RN experience
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Current ACLS certification from AHA required
- All certifications must be valid through the start date
- Epic EMR experience required
