A hospital in Brooklyn is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to provide comprehensive care for patients with cancer and blood disorders. The role involves clinical care, treatment planning, participation in tumor boards and research, and patient and staff education. Candidates must have an MD or DO, completed a Hematology/Oncology fellowship, and hold or be eligible for New York medical licensure.
A leading hospital in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join its growing Oncology team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology care
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with cancer and blood disorders
- Participate in tumor board conferences, care coordination meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
- Engage in clinical documentation and treatment planning using the hospital's EMR system (EPIC)
- Collaborate with other specialists to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in clinical trials or academic research
- Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and disease management
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Hematology and/or Oncology
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
- Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the state of New York
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to serving a diverse patient population in a community-focused environment
