About the Clinician's WorkdayShifts include 4x10s, 5x8s, or 3x12s with no call and no weekends (must offer at least 30 hrs/week). This is a medical direction model with no blocks. Cases include Neuro, Spines, Lungs, Vascular, General, Ortho, Plastics, Pediatrics (no sick peds or neonates), and Womens cases at a large hospital with 80+ ORs handling everything except transplants. EMR: Meditech/Medaxion. OB coverage offers shifts of 8s, 10s, or 24s with no call and no weekends (minimum 30 hrs/week), with 80% OB and 20% general OR cases; travel and expenses are covered if outside 60 miles. CV coverage offers shifts of 4x10s or 5x8s with no call and no weekends (minimum 30 hrs/week), with cases including LVAD, RVAD, Impellas, ECMO, and open hearts, requiring proficiency in these areas; travel and expenses are covered if outside 60 miles.
