Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Tulsa, OK 74104
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Unit (25 beds)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/12/2025 – End: 2/11/2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (18:45 – 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460-$1500
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Float Requirement: Yes, within scope
• Documentation System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Navy

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• EPIC documentation experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Ability to float to similar healthcare units as needed
• Proficient in blood product administration, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin/insulin administration, isolation precautions, IV and PICC line management, wound care, telemetry, tracheostomy care, and rapid response/code teams

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses
• Maintain safe patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and accurately document care in EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to similar clinical units within scope as required
• Participate in scheduled weekend and night shift coverage
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and healthcare procedures
