American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring a CT or compact license and specialized neuro ICU experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a Neuro ICU within a short-term acute care hospital
- Level I Trauma Center with a large bed capacity
- Typical patient ratio is 1:2 for both day and night shifts
- Night shifts (4x12 hours), 19:00 to 7:00
- Every other weekend is required
- Clinicians may float within their scope as needed by the facility
- Uses Epic EMR system
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- No on-call responsibilities
- Flu vaccine is required with no declinations accepted
- COVID vaccination and booster required; only religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Facility will auto-approve up to 7 days of requested time off; greater than 7 days must be approved
- Returning permanent staff must be gone for at least 2 years to be eligible
- No local candidates within a 75-mile radius are accepted
- Parking is available for a monthly fee
- Scrub requirements are not specified
- Active CT or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required
- Large trauma center experience required
- Must have at least one reference for consideration
