Job Description

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor government locations, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment through professional presence, clear communication, and outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
Monitor for suspicious activity and report any concerns according to established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and/or incidents within the government facility.
Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and law enforcement personnel as required.
Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms and/or other equipment as required for an armed patrol post.

Minimum Requirements:

Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
Possess a corrections officer license.
Possess a law enforcement officer license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
