Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient role requiring an active SC license and BLS (AHA) certification.
Responsibilities
- Outpatient position in a rural hospital-based physical therapy department
- Work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:45 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Treatment performed according to provider orders and in collaboration with staff and family as needed
- Involves patient evaluation, plan of care creation, and participation in staff meetings and educational sessions
- Supervises physical therapist assistants and participates in treatment team meetings
- Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly work areas and adhering to confidentiality policies
- Medical documentation must meet APTA standards of care
- Expected to attend departmental meetings and continuing education sessions
- Commitment to professional conduct, patient-centered care, and evidence-based practice is expected
Requirements
- Active South Carolina PT license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of recent outpatient physical therapy experience
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Ability to perform and document thorough patient assessments and develop care plans
- Primary source license verification and copy of state licensure required
