SchedulePart Time days and night shifts scheduled as needed. Every other weekend (EOW) and holidays required.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned residents in a long-term care setting. The RN must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care, particularly for adult and geriatric patients. This role requires collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and adherence to defined policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities- Collect ongoing data relevant to residents' physical and psychosocial conditions and communicate findings to supervisors and team members.
- Create culturally relevant care plans based on nursing diagnoses and involve residents and families in the care process.
- Recommend revisions to care plans based on evaluations of resident outcomes and ensure referrals are made as necessary.
- Maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing practices and participate in mentoring or orientation of staff.
- Demonstrate leadership in clinical settings under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
- New York RN Licensure
- BLS Certification (through AHA)
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an RN in a long-term care facility
