Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Maintain 6:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
• Float within skillset required
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• MS/Tele, Telemetry, and Cardiac Telemetry experience required
• 12-lead EKG experience required
• Ventilator management experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must have compact license or MD license
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs including ventilator management, continuous BiPaP, continuous cardiac monitoring, and pre/post cardiac interventions
• Manage patients with cardiac, vascular, general medical, surgical, wound care, GI/GU, neurological, respiratory, renal failure, and immunocompromised diagnoses
• Skills include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, wound care, and more

This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing advanced patient care services. The Adult Medical-Surgical/Sub-Specialty Telemetry Unit is a 68-bed combined unit specializing in complex medical cases requiring intensive monitoring and specialized care. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
