Job Description
A Van Nuys based clinic is searching for a Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about improving individual and community health. This position is a dynamic role in a community health center, with responsibilities for outpatient care only.
Required Qualifications
- Current California Nurse Practitioner license
- Nurse Practitioner Certification from either the ANCC or AANP
- Current DEA licensure
- Active CPR Certification
- 1-2 years of NP experience
- Spanish (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Conduct primary care visits for care management of patient caseload
- Manage both acute and chronic conditions through direct intervention like medication prescription and patient education
- Consultation with collaborating Physician as appropriate
- Complete documentation of patient encounters, funding sources, and billing according to policy
