The clinician will provide comprehensive pulmonary critical care coverage during day shifts with night call responsibilities, managing adult medical and surgical patients. Daily responsibilities include admissions, cross coverage, and pulmonary consultations with an average of 30 days per month coverage. The position requires proficiency in essential procedures including tracheal intubation, central lines, chest tubes, arterial lines, dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, conscious sedation, and bronchoscopy. The clinician will manage patients across multiple locations with variable census ranging from 4-15 patients per day depending on facility assignment.
Additional Job Details Case Load/PPD: 4-5 patients per day at one location, max 10 at another location, 10-15 at Glenwood Support Staff: In house hospitalists, ER MD, respiratory therapy, ICU Nursing Patient Population: Adults Call Ratio/Schedule: Night Call Location Type: On-Site Prescriptive Authority Required: No Government: No Shift Times: Day shift with night call coverage Procedures Required: Tracheal intubation, central lines, chest tubes, arterial lines, dialysis catheter, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture CertificationsRequired: Board Certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine required
