Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with robotic surgery experience and current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications for a hospital surgical unit in CO.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the hospital surgical unit
- Role includes preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care
- Handles cases including orthopedics (totals, no spine), ophthalmology, gynecology, urology, general surgery (appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, bowel, hernia), cesarean sections, ENT, colonoscopy, and EGD procedures
- Utilizes Da Vinci and Mako robotic surgical equipment
- Work schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week, typically between 6am-4:30pm or 7am-5:30pm
- On-call required one evening per week (5pm-6am) and approximately one 24-hour weekend per month
- Nurse is responsible for a broad variety of surgical cases across multiple specialties
- Team supports robotics, general surgeries, and emergency procedures
- First time travelers will be considered
- No specific radius or local candidate restrictions noted
- Scrub color is not specified
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Experience in preop, intraop, and postop surgery nursing
- Experience with robotic surgical procedures using Da Vinci and Mako systems preferred
