Emerald Coast Behavioralis currently recruiting PRN Inpatient Psychiatrists for their Inpatient programs in Panama City, FL.
Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital provides acute psychiatric services in a secure and nurturing environment for ages 12 and older who are in a crisis. With confidentiality and sensitivity, our inpatient programs allow patients to begin treatment in an intensive and secure environment where they are cared for 24 hours a day by our team of compassionate and highly trained professionals.
Our inpatient programs provide protection from harm to self or others, medication support and therapy with the goal of stabilizing acute symptoms as quickly as possible, so our patients can continue treatment in a less restrictive outpatient environment .

Position Requirements:
- BE/BC in General Psychiatry required. BC preferred.
- Active or eligible for FL medical license
- Commutable distance or candidates that are in FL are preferred.
- Comfort with seeing ages 12 and older is required.
Ideal schedule:
- Fixed schedule for example, either every third weekend of the month, or the first and third weekends, depending on availability.
- On-call coverage begins Friday at 8am CST and ends Monday at 8am CST. Saturday and Sunday require an on-site presence, while Friday coverage can be managed by tele. The role primarily involves conducting initial psychiatric evaluations, with follow-up visits and very rare discharges. We don t typically discharge on the weekend, but it can happen from time to time.
