Job DescriptionThe Respiratory Department is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a strong background in neonates and pediatrics. The ideal candidate will have experience in the NICU, PICU, Pediatric ED, and med/surgical floors. Responsibilities include providing care for all patient populations in the assigned areas.
Responsibilities- Perform respiratory therapies, including arterial blood gas analysis, nebulizer treatments, and ventilator management.
- Administer medications and oxygen therapy as per protocols.
- Provide airway management and pulmonary toileting.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and patient care discussions.
- Handle emergencies in critical care and emergency situations in the Pediatric ED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric respiratory therapy.
- Must have an RRT and North Carolina license in hand.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS required.
- Experience in NICU and PICU is highly preferred.
- On-call commitment of 3 shifts every 6-week period.
