Job Details:

• Work in a 34-bed telemetry unit with daily census of 27 patients
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, stroke, renal disease, respiratory conditions, and other medical diagnoses
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required skills include telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of dysrhythmias
• 2 years of nursing experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend (6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks per contract)
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity level
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Scrubs not provided - must wear Caribbean Blue
• Work with special equipment including safe patient handling equipment and ceiling lifts in every room
• Perform special procedures including peritoneal dialysis, NIHSS assessments, and dysrhythmia monitoring
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must have compact license or Maryland license
• Two supervisor references required
• Pre-start modules averaging 12 hours must be completed
