Neonatology Physician Job Details

• Facility Setting: Level III NICU (60 beds)

• Shift Schedule: 24-hour in-house coverage (12-hour rotating shifts)
• Monthly Shifts: 4-5
• Estimated Weekly Hours: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (extension possible)
  

Neonatology Physician Qualifications

• Board Certified Neonatologist (MD/DO) neonatology jobs
• Active Kansas medical license or IMLC eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in neonatology
• At least 6 months of recent clinical experience within the neonatology specialty
• Clinically active within the past year
• Ongoing availability preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU setting
• Provide 24-hour in-house coverage, collaborating with residents and nurse practitioners
• Manage all neonatal services except ECMO and heart surgery
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and communicate effectively with families and healthcare staff
• Ensure patient safety and maintain high standards of quality care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
