Qualifications:

• Board-certified or board-eligible nurse practitioner.
• Hospitalist experience preferred; hospitalist training required

Flexible Scheduling:

• Shifts for the day rounding position are scheduled from 7 am to 7 pm
• Shifts for the swing position are scheduled from 11 am to 11 pm and 3 pm to 3 am for admissions
• Shifts for the night position in observation are scheduled from 7 pm to 7 am for admissions, rounding, and discharges.

Key Responsibilities:

• As a day clinician in the observation unit, your responsibilities will encompass admitting, rounding, and discharging patients.
• The observation unit is very fast-paced, and we are looking for individuals who can handle an ever-changing environment.
• Our hospitalist team is pivotal in the rapid response team, and the intensivist team manages codes. All team members are certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support. There are no procedural requirements.
• We hold weekly huddles and monthly team meetings, in addition to lunch-and-learn sessions, to stay current on the latest medical developments at the hospital and with Sound.
• We work in Meditech Expand, a web-based system with access to our internal informatics platform.
• We are entertaining candidates looking for full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts.

Rewards and Benefits:

• Compensation:
  • Day shift – $140,000 to $150,000 yearly, plus incentives.
  • Swing shift – $145,000 to $155,000 yearly, plus incentives.
  • Nocturnist shift – $150,000 to $165,000 yearly, plus incentives. $25,000 commencement bonus offered for our nocturnist position.
