This role provides nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessment, pre-medication, sedation monitoring, documentation, post-procedure care, and patient education. The nurse scrubs in for procedures, assists with diagnostic and interventional cardiac testing, operates and manages cath lab equipment, and records all required clinical data. Additional duties include vascular access (PICC lines), monitoring devices application, and supporting cardiovascular education initiatives.
