Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring NH or compact licensure and strong postpartum/mother-baby skills.
Responsibilities
- Hospital Labor & Delivery unit with a midwife-led, low-intervention approach and access to comprehensive medical resources
- Care for patients from infancy through adult life span in the perinatal setting
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36–48 hours per week
- Every other weekend and rotating holiday coverage required
- On-call requirements are to be determined
- Epic EMR system used; experience required
- Provide individualized nursing care in accordance with age-related growth and development needs
- Collaboration with a midwife-led team supporting natural birth experiences
- Holiday coverage required for either Christmas or New Year's, including adjoining weekend
- Block scheduling requests will not be considered
- Position does not accept local travelers residing within 50 miles
- Travelers must not hold concurrent permanent or travel assignments
- All requested time off must be specified at time of submission; late requests will not be approved
Requirements
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Postpartum and mother-baby care experience required
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and NRP required
- Epic EMR experience required
- ACLS certification required
- AWHONN certification within the past 3 years preferred
- Must have own vehicle
- Permanent address required for consideration
- No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted and must be identified at submission
- Compliance items must be completed within 5 days of offer acceptance
