Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Float throughout designated Zone 1 covering a 60-mile radius with no home base facility
• Required to work 6-9 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
• May be placed in holiday rotation as needed
• Float between multiple units including General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
• May float to different acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 based on patient acuity
• Care for adult and geriatric populations with various diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal, post-surgical patients, and general medicine
• Titrate heparin drips as needed
• Use EPIC charting system
• Rare call or standby requirements for low census situations
• Must have 2 years of MS-Tele experience required
• Prior neuro experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must complete week-long orientation in state
• Schedule made by leadership for 6 weeks at a time with expectation of flexibility
• All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
