Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM or night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Manager creates schedule based on unit needs
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement: 2 out of 3 major holidays or every other as needed based on unit needs
• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility (radius rule applies)
• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with CommonSpirit facilities
• Driver's license required at submission to verify distance requirement
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination
• Pass/fail exam on Friday during orientation with 90% passing score required
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Work in 34-bed Medical Surgical ICU with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2
• Care for adults and pediatrics over 15 years old with various diagnoses including respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, and post-surgical patients
• Required to titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring system
• Work with various equipment including ventilators, CRRT, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and ICP monitoring
• Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, and residents in team environment
• Chart in EPIC system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Level 1 Trauma Center setting
